Sales Trainee

About the role

Siemens Energy is hiring a Sales Trainee in Luanda, Angola, on a 12-month contract within its Sales department. The trainee plans and executes sales targets and activities for a unit's portfolio in a specified region, increasing sales with potential customers and achieving commercial targets. The role involves close communication with the PCC and building relationships with assigned account customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan sales volumes and potentials of customers in the assigned region and provide data via CRM for forecasts and planning
• Analyse market conditions and build a network of stakeholders, and spot opportunities for local product and service solutions
• Prepare customer contacts and maintain a customer-focused network
• Coordinate and negotiate proposals with proposal management and other professionals
• Manage the sales funnel in the CRM tool (Salesforce.com), keeping opportunities forecasted and tracked to closure
• Contribute to After-Market business in the region and complete sales and revenue reporting
• Act as a point of contact for customers in commercial matters and help coordinate product developments, projects or service programs

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in sales or marketing
• University degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• Proven ability to deliver complex project opportunities and comfort at management level
• Sound commercial understanding, P&L and risk management skills
• Availability to travel and visit customers regularly
