Consumer Delegate - FMCG Sales

About the role

Shalina Angola is hiring a Consumer Delegate in Luanda, a field-based position covering assigned territories. The role promotes and drives sales of consumer products such as Germol, Fluodente and others within the Consumer Division, building customer relationships, increasing product visibility and availability, and reaching sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell consumer products to retailers, wholesalers, pharmacies, supermarkets and other points of sale.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers through regular field visits.
• Identify new sales opportunities and expand product distribution and market penetration.
• Ensure product availability, visibility and appropriate merchandising at points of sale.
• Negotiate sales orders and commercial terms within approved company guidelines.
• Monitor sales performance against targets, prepare periodic sales reports and collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing and trends.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries, outstanding issues and customer feedback.
• Implement trade marketing campaigns and support the launch of new products.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, logistics and finance teams, monitor expiry dates and stock rotation, and take part in sales meetings and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, sales, business administration or management; a relevant diploma may be considered.
• 2-3 years of relevant sales experience in FMCG, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, personal care or oral care.
• Valid driving licence preferred; a company vehicle or transport allowance may be provided.
• Valid work permit in Angola.

Required skills

• Sales, negotiation and closing techniques, customer prospecting and account management.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills and sales reporting.
• Ability to travel frequently within the territory and work independently.
