Medical Information Delegate (CVD)

About the role

Shalina Angola is hiring a Medical Information Delegate (CVD) for an assigned territory in Angola. The role promotes and provides accurate scientific and medical information about the company's pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, while building professional relationships and supporting prescription and recommendation objectives in line with applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals and provide evidence-based information on indications, benefits, dosage, contraindications and precautions.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships and conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics and pharmacies.
• Implement promotional strategies and territory plans, and achieve assigned promotion, coverage and activity targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and stakeholder feedback, and keep accurate records of visits and activities.
• Ensure all promotional activities comply with company policies and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Support scientific meetings, product presentations and new product introductions, collect market intelligence for Sales and Marketing, and report product complaints and potential adverse events.

Required profile

• Preferred: undergraduate degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Nursing or another life science field; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience as a medical representative, pharmaceutical sales representative or equivalent; entry-level candidates may be considered.
• Relevant certification in pharmaceutical sales or medical representation is an advantage.
• Required: valid driving licence preferred, access to a company vehicle or transport support subject to policy, and legal authorization to work in Angola.
