Private Sector Engagement Expert (Non-Key)

About the role

We are looking for a Private Sector Engagement Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role will help strengthen private‑sector participation, business development, innovation and investment across African and European space ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage companies, entrepreneurs and investors in the space, geospatial and technology sectors.
• Conduct market and value‑chain analyses to uncover commercial opportunities.
• Facilitate matchmaking, business support and access to finance for selected projects.
• Contribute to policy dialogue, institutional partnerships and knowledge‑exchange activities.
• Support the design and implementation of private‑sector engagement strategies for the AESPP Boost programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in private‑sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development or investment facilitation.
• At least 4 years of experience directly engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, including market analysis, matchmaking and commercialization.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
