Permit to Work Supervisor / Production Supervisor (Angolan National)

About the role

The Permit to Work (PTW) / SIMOPS Supervisor is responsible for managing work permits on an offshore facility, ensuring that work is planned, coordinated and carried out safely and without conflict. The role also covers production supervision and coordination with the operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all new permits are ready for the planning meeting and take part in PTW review meetings
• Identify hazards, check cross-references between permits and make affected personnel aware of overlapping work
• Verify that permits match work orders, are fully approved and accompanied by approved isolation certificates and supporting documents
• Display permits at work locations, keep accurate records and close or cancel expired permits
• Advise signatories on high-risk aspects of work and audit PTW implementation against the HSE management system
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, isolation and de-isolation, and monitor contractor and vendor work
• Act as Emergency Response Team Leader or member if required

Required profile

• Five years' experience on an offshore facility, preferably on a FPSO, with three years as Production Supervisor, Lead Tech or five years as Production Tech
• Detailed knowledge of the PTW system and the appropriate competency for the duties
• Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Engineering, or production trade certificate or other relevant qualification
• Certificate IV in Production Operations or equivalent (an added advantage)
• Offshore medical BOSIET and H2S certification (if applicable to the facility)

Required skills

• Central control room (CCR) operation
• Fire and gas systems, subsea systems including well testing and hydraulic systems
• Separation and stabilization systems, gas compression/dehydration, fiscal metering, chemical injection
• Knowledge of the operating safety case, performance standards and asset integrity
