Import Export Finance and Investment Expert Consultant-Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced International Trade Finance Consultant/Manager to lead our operations in a designated country. This freelance, part‑time, remote position will involve marketing our products and services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Market SVG’s import‑export finance and investment solutions to target clients.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and budget management in the assigned country.
• Develop and implement business strategies that align with local market conditions.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and banking requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, brokers, and logistics partners.
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals to achieve company objectives.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience such as CEO, Founder, Director, Operations Head, or senior roles in banking, trade, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Proven track record in international trade, import‑export, or commodity trading across sectors like agriculture, petroleum, steel, gold, or apparel.
• At least three years of experience in trade finance, banking consultancy, or related trading business.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Letters of Credit (LC/DLC) and Bank Guarantees (BG).
• Experience with Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC), Proof of Funds (POF), and Bank Comfort Letters (BCL).
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats MT760, MT799, MT700 and related instruments.
• Ability to design and execute digital sales and marketing strategies for lead generation.
