Firearms Sales Associate

About the role

Rural King is looking for a Firearms Sales Associate to provide knowledgeable customer service and support sales of firearms, ammunition, accessories, and related products. The role involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring compliance with firearms laws, and maintaining store merchandising standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, identify their needs, and provide unbiased product recommendations.
• Process sales, special orders, returns, payments, and required documentation accurately using the POS system.
• Follow all federal, state, and local firearms regulations and complete required compliance training.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly priced firearms displays and support inventory accuracy.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in firearms sales, sporting goods, or retail preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and use ladders or pallet jacks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and retail technology.
• Knowledge of firearms, ammunition, accessories, and applicable laws.
