Field Service Engineer – Aero‑derivative Gas Turbine Control Systems

About the role

As a Field Service Control Engineer you will be the on‑site technical expert for aero‑derivative gas turbine control systems. You will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of turbine equipment while providing high‑level customer support in both onshore and offshore environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and emergency call‑out services for turbine control systems and associated equipment.
• Act as the company’s on‑site technical and administrative representative, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Execute maintenance activities in line with Siemens Energy procedures, OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex control system issues with minimal supervision, delivering safe and cost‑effective solutions.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify abnormal conditions and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Prepare accurate daily service reports, equipment histories and technical documentation.
• Coordinate spare parts, materials and resources to minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals to support repairs.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, supervisors and customer representatives.
• Promote and enforce Environment, Health and Safety standards and participate in safety meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with gas turbine control systems in the power generation or energy sector.
• Extensive experience on recognized aero‑derivative gas turbine product lines.
• Strong knowledge of industrial gas turbine operations, engine exchanges and scheduled maintenance.
• Proven experience working in both onshore and offshore environments.
