Country Manager – QSR Operations in Angola

About the role

Hungry Lion is looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead its Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) business in Angola. You will own the commercial and operational performance of the existing stores while driving rapid expansion across the market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new store locations in partnership with the South Africa development team.
• Lead end‑to‑end store openings, including regulatory approvals and local permits.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility for all Angolan stores, ensuring margin and profitability targets are met.
• Manage supplier contracts and oversee a reliable supply chain, including cold‑chain logistics.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and QSR standards are consistently applied.
• Develop and grow the local team, building the next layer of leadership.
• Represent Hungry Lion with local authorities, landlords, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate closely with the South Africa hub on finance, marketing, and operations.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of F&B or QSR management experience, with a proven record of scaling operations in Angola or similar markets.
• Deep knowledge of Angolan legislation, commercial networks, and cultural context; Angolan citizenship strongly preferred.
• Fluent in Portuguese and highly proficient in English.
• Demonstrated multi‑site P&L ownership.
• Ability to make independent decisions without day‑to‑day oversight.
