AVVC Engineer (Angola)

About the role

Oceaneering is hiring an AVVC (Audio Visual Video Conferencing) Engineer, open to Angolan nationals only. The role works closely with Service Delivery Managers, Operations Teams, customers and third-party vendors to deliver a high-quality AVVC service, with onsite diagnostics, hardware replacement, configuration, administration and user support.

Key responsibilities

• Support Service Delivery Managers, Operations Teams and customers; administer Microsoft Teams Rooms and collaboration technologies
• Manage AVVC incidents, service requests, problems and changes; perform proactive monitoring and health checks of meeting rooms, collaboration and digital signage environments
• Diagnose and resolve faults in hardware, software, audio, video, connectivity and room systems
• Maintain room booking and scheduling platforms, and support digital signage and IPTV platforms
• Administer room control systems, microphones, speakers, DSPs, touch panels, cameras, presentation systems and displays
• Perform firmware upgrades, software updates, patching, preventative maintenance and room certification testing
• Coordinate vendor escalations, perform onsite troubleshooting and break-fix, and carry out root cause analysis
• Support project delivery, technology refreshes, migrations and deployments, and prepare technical documentation and room inventories
• Support service reporting, KPI monitoring and continual service improvement, and take part in transitions and knowledge transfer

Required profile

• BOSIET or MIST certification, or willingness to obtain them
• At least 3 years' experience supporting meeting room technologies, unified communications, video conferencing or professional AV systems
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, room-based video conferencing, digital signage, IPTV, room booking systems and AV control systems
• Experience in ITIL Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request management and in a customer-facing support environment
• Willingness to travel locally within Angola, offshore and internationally

Required skills

• AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification preferred
• Microsoft Teams Rooms administration knowledge or certification preferred
• CCNP Collaboration or equivalent unified communications experience advantageous
• Vendor training in Yealink, Extron, Exterity/VITEC, Condeco/Eptura or Crestron may be required
