Accountant – IFRS & Tax Specialist

About the role

Join SBM Offshore as an Accountant responsible for accounting, tax and treasury activities for local and international entities under IFRS and local GAAP. You will support the Group’s financial reporting, audit processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Group accounting policies and internal control procedures are applied.
• Participate in process and tool efficiency improvements.
• Perform monthly closing tasks and prepare monthly packages for partners.
• Review monthly packages received from partners.
• Analyze balance‑sheet data at consolidation level and support IFRS and directional reporting.
• Assist in contract analysis and related legal documentation.
• Prepare audit packages and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare tax packages for the Group in cooperation with the Tax Manager.
• Participate in quarterly and semi‑annual tax reporting and financial statement preparation.
• Support partners with their financial statements and ad‑hoc audit missions.

Required profile

• Business school or finance/accounting degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar environment or audit firm.
• Knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37 and statutory accounting in an international context.
• Understanding of tax requirements and internal control frameworks.
