About the role
Drilling Sentinel is seeking independent field sales representatives to drive commercial growth in the oil and gas drilling sector. The role is commission‑based with no fixed salary; earnings are tied to successful sales outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and qualify prospective customers such as operators, drilling contractors, service companies and technology providers.
- Leverage existing networks and portfolios to generate qualified sales opportunities.
- Develop new business through calls, emails, referrals, industry events and field relationships.
- Engage stakeholders across drilling, operations, engineering and management to understand challenges and commercial priorities.
- Present the value of real‑time drilling risk intelligence in terms of reducing non‑productive time and operational risk.
- Coordinate product introductions, technical presentations and demonstrations with Drilling Sentinel’s technical team.
- Manage the full sales cycle from outreach to proposal support, negotiation and contract award.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations and opportunities in the company’s CRM.
- Provide market intelligence, customer feedback and competitor insights to refine sales strategy.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales, business development or account management within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Established network of contacts with operators, drilling contractors or service companies.
- Understanding of drilling decision‑making processes across field, operations, engineering and management teams.
- Ability to work independently as a contractor and drive results on a performance‑based compensation model.
Required skills
- CRM usage for tracking prospects and opportunities.
