Transport Experts for Global Gateway Projects

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of transport experts to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. The pool will provide short‑term technical assistance worldwide, focusing on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia‑Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prepare, appraise and implement transport and connectivity projects.
• Conduct prefeasibility and feasibility studies, technical assessments, and economic and financial analyses.
• Support transport infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, modernisation and investment planning.
• Assist public authorities in developing policies, strategies, regulatory frameworks and sector reform programmes.
• Prepare transport investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Advise on sustainable, low‑carbon, smart, safe, resilient and inclusive transport solutions.
• Promote multimodal transport, logistics connectivity and integration between different transport modes.
• Assess investment climates and identify opportunities for public‑private participation, including PPPs.
• Support procurement, tendering, contract management, implementation supervision and O&M planning.
• Facilitate coordination among public authorities, EU delegations, IFIs, infrastructure operators, private sector stakeholders and development partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transport, infrastructure, mobility, logistics, connectivity or related sectors.
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: road and highway infrastructure, rail, maritime, aviation, urban mobility, or transport economics.
• Proven ability to work in international, multi‑stakeholder environments.
