Supply Chain Discipline Manager (Procurement)

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Supply Chain Discipline Manager to ensure that supply chain resources are properly allocated and skilled to meet project and operational targets. The role drives cross‑functional collaboration, cost control, quality, and compliance while mentoring the supply chain team toward operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage staffing plans in coordination with project and operations managers.
• Identify and resolve resource gaps through networking with internal departments, locations, or third‑party providers.
• Assess staff capabilities against project requirements and provide career development and training opportunities.
• Coach, mentor, and address performance issues, partnering with HR when necessary.
• Enforce procurement procedures, package management, expediting, inspection, logistics, and material control standards.
• Cascade strategic sourcing deliverables such as framework agreements, approved vendor lists, benchmarks, market analysis, and vendor action plans.
• Ensure compliance with company ethics, quality, regulatory management, and local/international regulations.
• Participate early in project phases to set realistic KPIs for quality and quantity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in staffing and capability planning for supply chain functions.
• Strong ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and resolve resource constraints.
• Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills to develop team performance.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes and regulatory compliance.
