Senior Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Oilfield Services team as a Senior Well Intervention Engineer. You will design, evaluate, and execute intervention solutions that restore production, improve well integrity, and maximize asset value across the well lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define intervention strategies for mature wells, including rigless interventions, workovers, recompletions, stimulation, cleanout, water shut‑off, integrity remediation, and abandonment preparation.
• Select and evaluate downhole tools, technologies, deployment methods, and operational approaches to address production, injectivity, access, and integrity challenges.
• Integrate reservoir, production, well‑integrity, completion, facilities, logistics, HSE, and commercial requirements into practical solutions.
• Plan intervention sequences, resource needs, pressure‑control philosophies, logistics, cost drivers, and schedules.
• Quantify production restoration, injectivity improvement, risk reduction, and abandonment readiness to support investment decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams and support customer discussions.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in well intervention, workover, and well‑integrity operations.
• Proven experience in designing and executing complex intervention projects.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (reservoir, production, completions, integrity).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
