Senior Subsea Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Subsea Well Intervention Engineer to design and evaluate innovative subsea intervention solutions that enhance offshore asset value. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from concept development to execution planning, partnering with wells, subsea, marine, and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define subsea well intervention and well access concepts for riser‑based, riserless, light‑well, well integrity, P&A, inspection and maintenance scopes.
• Assess technical feasibility by analysing operational envelopes, water depth, metocean conditions, subsea interfaces, tooling compatibility, vessel requirements and equipment availability.
• Develop practical solutions using knowledge of subsea trees, wellheads, intervention systems, controls, ROV tooling, vessel spreads and P&A technologies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to capture wells, subsea, marine, facilities, logistics, HSE, regulatory and commercial requirements.
• Validate technical and operational assumptions to ensure executable concepts aligned with customer objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive offshore operational experience in subsea well intervention.
• Strong technical background in subsea equipment and intervention methodologies.
• Ability to identify execution risks and propose value‑driven solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
