About the role
NTU International A/S is seeking a Senior Aviation Specialist to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. The role will involve providing technical, policy, institutional and investment assistance for aviation projects worldwide, with a focus on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia‑Pacific.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, prepare and implement aviation infrastructure and air‑transport projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, project design reviews and investment analyses.
- Support airport master planning, infrastructure development and air‑connectivity planning.
- Advise on airport systems, operational efficiency, safety, security and compliance with international and European standards.
- Assist procurement, tendering, implementation supervision and O&M planning for aviation assets.
- Promote sustainable, low‑carbon aviation and integrate climate‑resilience, disaster‑risk reduction and environmental‑social considerations.
- Support policy, regulatory and institutional reforms and improve investment climates for aviation.
- Provide capacity building and technical assistance to civil aviation authorities, airport operators and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with public authorities, IFIs, development partners and industry actors.
Required profile
- Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in the aviation sector.
- Proven expertise in technical assistance, project design, and investment analysis for airport and air‑transport projects.
- Strong knowledge of international aviation standards, safety, security and sustainability practices.
- Experience working with public authorities, development agencies and multilateral institutions.
