Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet Supervisor ensures safe, reliable and cost‑effective operation of Granofino’s fleet, handling employee transport, product deliveries and other operational transport needs. The role coordinates drivers, vehicle availability, maintenance and fleet costs to minimise disruptions to factory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle assignments, routes and transport schedules.
• Support employee transport to match factory shifts and pickup times.
• Arrange alternative transport during breakdowns or unexpected disruptions.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, mileage, availability and trip records.
• Ensure drivers complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Track driving behaviour, punctuality and adherence to approved routes.
• Prepare and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate servicing, repairs and inspections.
• Track fleet expenses against the approved budget and maintain registration, insurance and inspection records.
• Maintain an updated fleet register and vehicle documentation files.
• Support planning for vehicle replacement, additional capacity and outsourced transport.

Required profile

• Certificate or related courses in Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years experience in fleet or transport operations with supervisory responsibility.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, route planning and fuel control.
• Good knowledge of Luanda’s road network and a valid driving licence.
• Fluent Portuguese; working knowledge of English is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with GPS tracking or fleet management systems.
