Project Manager – Rice Mill Erection & Installation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to lead the full erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a rice milling plant in Angola. The role requires hands‑on management of on‑site activities, coordination of multiple contractors, and delivery of the project within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete erection and installation of rice milling machinery, conveyors, elevators, dryers, silos, and related material‑handling systems.
• Supervise equipment positioning, alignment, assembly, and installation of piping and electrical connections.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, and electrical contractors to ensure smooth site execution.
• Liaise with machinery manufacturers and suppliers to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Develop and monitor installation schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Lead equipment testing, trial runs, commissioning, and final handover.
• Prepare progress reports, identify technical issues, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10–15+ years of experience in industrial machinery erection, installation, and commissioning.
• Proven experience in complete rice milling plant installation and commissioning.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Angola.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering expertise.
• Knowledge of rice milling machinery, conveyors, elevators, dryers, storage silos, and automated material‑handling systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and P&IDs.
• Project management and site coordination skills.
