About the role

We are seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer to join the crew of a non‑self‑propelled accommodation barge operating off Malongo, Angola. The role involves maintaining generator sets and supporting the vessel’s limited onboard systems.

Key responsibilities

Operate and maintain generators, ensuring reliable power supply.
Troubleshoot engine and auxiliary equipment issues with limited resources.
Assist the chief engineer with routine inspections and maintenance tasks.

Required profile

Valid 2nd or 3rd Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC).
Strong knowledge of generators and ability to resolve issues independently.
Experience with Caterpillar engines.
