Programme Associate – Health & Nutrition (90‑day contract)

About the role

UNICEF Angola is seeking a Programme Associate to support the Health & Nutrition section. Working under the chief of Health and Nutrition, you will provide specialised programme and administrative assistance for the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF programmes in Angola.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project management activities and partnership implementation.
• Manage data collection, analysis and reporting for programme monitoring.
• Track grant budgets, monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports.
• Support digital innovation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Facilitate communication, knowledge sharing and dissemination of results.
• Assist with capacity‑building events and provide surge support as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; technical or university courses considered an asset.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in administration, operations, financial management, monitoring & evaluation, grant management or related fields.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; knowledge of an additional UN language is desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to UNICEF’s core values and competencies.

Required skills

• Project Management and Risk Assessment.
• Data analysis and reporting using tools such as Power BI and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems.
• Grant and budget monitoring.
• Partnership and due‑diligence management.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven data automation.
