Production Operator

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Production Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of its process and utility systems. You will work on‑site, following strict operating procedures, HSE requirements, and scheduled timelines while supporting the plant’s production goals.

Key responsibilities

• Start, stop, and operate process systems including gas compression and conditioning units, glycol dehydration units, hydraulic power units (HPUs), produced water treatment, and cooling/filtration/deaeration systems.
• Monitor and adjust chemical injection and dosing to maintain process efficiency.
• Prepare operation procedures, perform QA/QC certification, and use fire‑fighting, HSE, and integrated control systems.
• Carry out maintenance and inspection activities, manage isolations and reinstatements in coordination with the Control Room Operator and Production Supervisor.
• Report to the Production Supervisor according to the organizational chart.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Process Operations, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Production Operator in the oil & gas industry.
• Fluent in Portuguese and professional English.

Required skills

• Plant system isolation and preparation for intrusive maintenance.
• Assistance and standby support for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical technicians during maintenance.
• Operation of gas compression, glycol dehydration, HPUs, water‑treatment, cooling, filtration, and deaeration equipment.
• Monitoring of chemical injection/dosing systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
