Production Applications Engineer III – Artificial Lift Systems

About the role

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Production Applications Engineer to join its Artificial Lift Systems (ALS) team in Luanda, Angola. The role focuses on supporting the tendering process for Reciprocating Rod Lift (RRL) and Jet pump solutions, ensuring technical and commercial proposals meet both company and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals for ALS products.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales, Operations, QHSE, Finance, Legal and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with tender specifications.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks in tender documents while maximizing commercial opportunities.
• Collect and analyse tender data, including win/loss outcomes, market pricing and competitor positioning.
• Support continuous improvement of tender processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production applications engineering within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of artificial lift technologies, particularly RRL and Jet pumps.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives under minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
