Operations Associate – Procurement & Logistics (Angola)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Associate to lead procurement, supply‑chain and logistics for our Angolan operations. The role will oversee the full import flow, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished goods, ensuring compliance with local regulations and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement of raw materials and packaging from international and local suppliers, managed through SAP Business One.
- Manage import clearance at the Ports of Luanda and Cabinda, coordinating with licensed despachantes and the Angolan Customs Authority via ASYCUDA++.
- Ensure compliance with MINCO import licences, INAMA food‑safety standards and Executive Decree No. 130/26 local sourcing mandates.
- Coordinate with the Administração Geral Tributária on duty valuations and IVA provisioning in partnership with Finance.
- Oversee inland logistics from port to factory across Luanda and Benguela, including truck contracting and warehouse inventory control.
- Lead a multi‑site operations team and act as primary liaison with port authorities, freight forwarders and government inspectors.
- Process daily customer orders, monitor inventory levels, schedule shipments and resolve transit delays.
- Audit incoming shipments for accuracy, damage and purchase‑order compliance, and update internal databases in real time.
- Handle customer‑service escalations related to missing, damaged or delayed shipments.
- Support weekly operational cost reporting through routine data entry.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, procurement or supply chain within food manufacturing or FMCG in Angola.
- Proven hands‑on experience clearing cargo through the Ports of Luanda and Cabinda with established relationships with local clearance agencies.
- Strong knowledge of Angolan customs law, ASYCUDA++ procedures and import documentation requirements.
- Understanding of Angolan tax obligations for importers, including IVA, customs duties and AGT compliance.
- Excellent time‑management, communication and analytical abilities.
