Medical Doctor – Remote Project & Community Health in Angola

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Medical Doctor to join a remote project in Moxico Province, Angola. The role combines direct clinical care for a project team with the development of sustainable community health services in the surrounding area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary, occupational and emergency medical care to a project team of around 30 members in a remote camp.
• Support emergency preparedness, contribute to response planning and train staff in first aid.
• Manage site medical equipment, consumables and maintain accurate patient records.
• Coordinate community outreach clinics, mentor community health workers and assist with health education programmes.

Required profile

• Valid medical degree (MBChB, MD or equivalent) with an unrestricted licence to practice in Angola.
• Clinical experience in general practice, emergency medicine or remote/occupational health, preferably within African settings.
• Fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Use of electronic health records and digital health tools.
• Familiarity with secure telehealth platforms and data protection practices.
