Marine Technician – Offshore Operations

About the role
We are seeking a Marine Technician to support safe and reliable offshore marine operations on an FPSO vessel. The role focuses on monitoring and controlling ballast, cargo and utility systems while ensuring compliance with HSSE standards and operational procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor marine systems including ballast, cargo, tank and utility networks, maintaining system limits and stability.
- Apply Control of Work (CoW) principles, manage isolations, permits and SIMOPS risks during routine and non‑routine tasks.
- Maintain accurate tank status, ballast control and system monitoring, and execute isolations, line‑ups and system changes safely.
- Identify emerging hull and tank risks, escalating issues before they affect safety or operations.
- Support offloading and other marine operations in close coordination with the Marine Supervisor and Superintendent.
- Participate in investigations, learning reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Experience in offshore marine, tanker or other high‑hazard environments.
- Strong situational awareness and proactive risk‑management mindset.
- Willingness to develop deeper technical expertise in marine systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively across marine, production and maintenance teams.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of ballast systems.
- Working knowledge of cargo handling procedures.
- Familiarity with marine utilities.
- Troubleshooting and operation of marine systems.
- Diagnostics and system monitoring capabilities.
