Industrial Relations Coordinator

About the role

Saipem is seeking an Industrial Relations Coordinator to join its Human Resources department. The role will support on‑shore and offshore operations, ensuring constructive engagement with trade unions, effective collective bargaining and proactive resolution of labour disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure good relations with trade unions and employer organisations in line with company procedures.
• Provide specialised technical support for union relations at remote sites and subsidiaries.
• Define criteria for collective bargaining agreements aligned with policies and business needs.
• Support HR, line management and sustainability teams in interpreting agreements and ensuring human‑rights compliance.
• Monitor union activity, contribute to a positive workplace climate (including benefits), and collect data for the Sustainability Report.
• Manage union activities during mergers/acquisitions and coordinate external communications in media‑sensitive situations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources Management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of HR administrative coordination experience, preferably in the oil & gas sector, focusing on litigation and disciplinary processes.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Direct negotiation with trade unions and workers’ committees.
• Labour conflict mediation and handling complex disciplinary processes.
• Proficiency in reporting tools and data analysis (HR KPIs).
• Knowledge of labour law (certification).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
