Fleet Manager – Vehicle Operations

About the role

The Fleet Manager will oversee the entire vehicle fleet for Shalina Healthcare in Luanda, ensuring that all vehicles are safe, available, and used efficiently. This role combines strategic planning, day‑to‑day operational oversight, and continuous improvement of fleet performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the company’s vehicle fleet, guaranteeing operational readiness.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and monitor service history.
• Track fuel consumption, identify anomalies, and control fleet‑related costs.
• Ensure all vehicles have valid insurance, registration, inspection, and required documentation.
• Supervise drivers, verify licences, and enforce company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel use, maintenance, repairs, and costs.
• Utilise fleet management systems for vehicle tracking and utilisation reporting.
• Manage relationships with garages, suppliers, insurers, and other service providers.
• Prepare regular performance and cost reports and implement efficiency measures.
• Support vehicle procurement, replacement, disposal, and renewal processes.
• Investigate accidents, coordinate recovery, and oversee driver safety programs.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fleet Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Preferable satisfactory academic performance.
• Experience supervising drivers and managing a vehicle fleet.
• Strong understanding of road‑safety regulations and internal fleet procedures.
• Ability to work closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement, HR and other departments.
