English Language Teacher

About the role

The English Language Teacher will deliver engaging English lessons to learners within the Ango-Trade Community network, focusing on practical communication skills for cross‑border interaction. This part‑time hybrid position combines on‑site teaching in Luanda with work‑from‑home duties as program needs dictate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach English lessons for various proficiency levels in virtual, face‑to‑face, and homeschooling formats.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt materials to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with the team to support English programs linked to trade, tourism, and cultural exchange activities.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification or certification in English language teaching (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) or a degree in Education, English, or related field.
• Experience teaching diverse age groups and proficiency levels in hybrid or blended learning environments.
• Comfort working in multicultural settings and interest in regional trade, tourism, or cultural exchange within Angola and the SADC region.

Required skills

• Strong instructional skills in English teaching.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, designing learning activities, and assessments.
• Basic digital literacy and familiarity with online teaching tools and communication platforms.
