Early Careers Geologist – Entry Level

About the role

Join SLB’s Geoscience and Petrotechnical team as an Early Careers Geologist. You will apply earth‑science knowledge together with the latest logging technologies to help define reservoir architecture and assess hydrocarbon potential for our clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a core member of the geoscience team to evaluate exploration prospects.
• Prepare surface and subsurface maps that illustrate stratigraphic relationships.
• Generate structural models, including seismic interpretation, geological interpretation, rock‑property analysis, and time‑depth conversion.
• Perform facies modelling and create structural frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Geology.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills with the ability to present factual information clearly.
• Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to varied working conditions and locations.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of earth‑science principles.
• Knowledge of modern logging technologies.
• Proficiency with geologic software tools for mapping and modelling.
