Driver and Logistic Assistant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a reliable Driver and Logistic Assistant to operate its office vehicle(s) and support daily logistical operations. The role ensures safe, efficient transport of staff, documents, and equipment while maintaining vehicle readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM vehicle(s) to official destinations, selecting the safest and most direct routes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure adherence to regular service intervals.
• Keep accurate records of spare parts, conduct monthly inventory, and prepare daily log sheets.
• Generate monthly reports summarising mileage, fuel consumption and other vehicle statistics.
• Uphold confidentiality and security protocols during transport, reducing potential threats to officials and property.
• Meet officials at airports and assist with immigration and customs formalities as required.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents, pouches and other items in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain vehicle roadworthiness.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
