Control of Work Supervisor

About the role

The Control of Work Supervisor is responsible for coordinating Permit to Work (PTW) activities and ensuring that all offshore work is performed safely, without conflicts, and in line with SBM Offshore’s business processes and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a risk‑based safety culture focused on health, safety, well‑being and sustainability.
• Coordinate and support the implementation of all Control of Work tools on site, including ePtW, risk assessments, barrier management, toolbox talks, isolation philosophy and Management of Change.
• Collaborate with discipline heads and supervisors to ensure correct application of isolation standards, hazard identification and task risk assessment programs.
• Verify and assure the implementation of Control of Work tools and process‑safety fundamentals.
• Monitor and verify equipment isolations required for intrusive maintenance.
• Ensure staff and contractors understand their roles within the Control of Work system and promote training and competency assurance.
• Mentor and manage individual and team performance to raise compliance and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore or industrial safety management.
• Ability to lead and influence teams in a safety‑critical environment.
• Strong understanding of Permit to Work processes and related safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple disciplines and contractors.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and training development.
