Construction Project Manager

About the role

The Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering small to medium‑size construction projects such as office and grounds remodels. Working independently on most assignments, the CPM ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while coordinating contractors, consultants, missionaries, and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project management plans, schedules, and milestones in collaboration with contractors.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and unit‑cost reports; monitor project costs and approve contractor pay requests.
• Negotiate and manage sub‑contracts, change orders, and procurement of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with the employer, local authorities, architects, and general contractors to obtain permits and meet regulatory requirements.
• Lead pre‑award and pre‑construction meetings, and attend owner’s team and coordination meetings.
• Monitor on‑site work to ensure compliance with project specifications, church standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain project quality, safety, and risk management plans; evaluate schedules to meet milestones.

Required profile

• Experienced construction professional capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
