Application Support Engineer – DevOps

About the role

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with a DevOps focus to support, deploy and maintain Java‑based enterprise applications. The role involves ensuring application availability, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and support Java/J2EE applications across development, testing and production environments.
• Monitor application performance, availability and health, and perform post‑deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot application, deployment and environment issues, driving timely resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and release management using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins and Git.
• Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure and business teams during releases and incident handling.
• Analyze logs, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in application upgrades, patches and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in application support, DevOps or production support.
• Strong background in deploying and supporting Java/J2EE applications.
• Good understanding of application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git) and Linux/Unix environments.
• Proficiency in log analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and incident management.
