Advanced NDT Technician

About the role

The Advanced NDT Technician will perform high‑level non‑destructive testing (NDT) on static equipment and associated piping, supporting Oceaneering's Integrity Management and Digital Solutions team. The role involves executing advanced inspection techniques, generating detailed reports, and assisting with technology development and business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute advanced NDT techniques such as ultrasonic, phased‑array, pulsed eddy current, TOFD, visual, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing on equipment and piping.
• Perform ad‑hoc inspections as directed by management or supervisors.
• Provide training and qualification for subordinate NDT personnel.
• Support business development by attending open days, workshops, and client visits.
• Produce comprehensive inspection reports detailing findings and results.
• Lead, support, and coordinate NDT inspection programs and personnel.
• Maintain testing equipment in compliance with Oceaneering procedures.
• Complete mandatory training modules and adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.

Required profile

• Relevant certifications in advanced NDT methods (PCN/CSWIP level 2 or ASNT level 2) and rope access (IRATA Level 1 or 2).
• Ability to travel independently or as part of a team to global client locations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
