Senior HSSE Engineer – Field Operations

About the role

The Senior HSSE Engineer will provide leadership and operational support for Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) activities across Solar Turbines facilities and field sites in Africa, the Middle East and Southern Europe. Based in Luanda, the role ensures safe, compliant and efficient work environments while driving continuous improvement of HSSE policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HSSE matters for the Southern Africa (ESSA) district.
• Deliver expert HSSE advice to managers, facility teams and medical staff.
• Evaluate and improve HSSE policies, procedures and standards.
• Conduct security and safety assessments at industrial sites.
• Monitor district‑level security developments and advise leadership.
• Provide emergency response coverage and act as Emergency Response Coordinator and Facility Security Manager when required.
