Accounting & Finance Technician

About the role

The Accounting & Finance Technician supports the finance department by processing transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with Angolan accounting standards and tax regulations. This position works closely with the Chief Accountant/Finance Manager and interacts with internal teams, suppliers, and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process accounting transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare and maintain journals, supporting documentation, and monthly financial reports.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice verification.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures and tax declarations.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or recognized technical qualification).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Knowledge of Angolan tax and statutory reporting requirements.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, data analysis).
• Accounting software and ERP applications, preferably Primavera.
