Accounting and Finance Technician

About the role

The Accounting and Finance Technician will support Shalina Angola's accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate records, timely transaction processing, and compliance with Angolan accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process accounting transactions, prepare and verify invoices, payment vouchers and receipts.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations; support accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and month‑end/year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, monitor cash flow, expense control and assist with tax calculations and statutory reporting.
• Support internal and external audits, budget monitoring, variance analysis and collaborate with procurement, HR, warehouse and other departments.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Attention to detail, integrity, analytical thinking and strong numerical aptitude.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, preferably Primavera.
• Bank and general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable processing.
• Financial reporting and invoice verification.
