Yard Foreman

About the role

The Yard Foreman coordinates all cargo movements to and from the base by land and sea, supervising material handling activities between the yard, warehouse, and quayside. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient cargo operations in support of Azule‑operated blocks while acting as the Area Authority for yard operations.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce safety practices, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure proper PPE use.
• Review, authorize, and supervise Permits to Work (PtW) for safe execution of operations.
• Verify that all personnel are trained, certified, and compliant with CoW and HSE standards.
• Supervise daily yard activities, conduct site inspections, and maintain clean, organized conditions.
• Ensure cargo handling, loading, and movements are executed and secured correctly.
• Check certification and condition of equipment such as cranes, forklifts, trucks, and lifting gear before use.
• Coordinate with service providers, material management teams, vendors, and contractors to optimise resource utilisation.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo, materials, and transfers for tracking and invoicing.
• Lead daily coordination meetings and produce timely reports.

Required profile

• Knowledge of port rules and regulations governing offshore cargo movements.
• Experience with lifting operations and mobilisation of resources for Platform Supply Vessels.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with field staff, office personnel, Customs, and Port Authorities.
• Secondary school education; Material Management certification or equivalent preferred.
• More than 5 years of experience in supply base or yard management, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
