Senior Manager, Data Analytics

About the role

Deel, an all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams, is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Analytics. The role oversees multiple data teams (typically two), ensuring consistent processes, quality standards and aligned goals, and bridges the gap between team execution and higher-level strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the work of two data teams, keeping processes, quality standards and goals consistent across them.
• Mentor team leads and senior team members, fostering leadership skills and knowledge sharing.
• Act as the primary decision-maker for projects spanning multiple teams, aligned with product strategy and company objectives.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and negotiations, resolve conflicts and ensure teams have the resources and alignment they need.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery by overseeing iterative workflows and adjusting plans to meet multi-team deadlines.
• Communicate progress, updates and risks across teams and to domain leadership, and manage expectations.
• Promote collaboration between teams and identify opportunities for synergy and shared improvement.
• Work with product and business stakeholders strategically, and advocate for data initiatives or changes when beneficial.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience managing teams, including multiple teams or larger groups.
• Broad understanding of the business and product strategy, coupled with strong data domain expertise.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, communication and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to manage complex, interdependent projects and resolve conflicts and negotiate resource trade-offs.
