Sales Manager – Lusophone Africa

About the role

Hengtong Group is expanding its presence in Lusophone African markets and seeks an experienced Sales Manager to lead business development from its Angola office. The role focuses on telecom, power, EPC and government projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market expansion strategies for Lusophone African countries.
• Identify and pursue opportunities in telecom infrastructure, optical fiber, power cables, OPGW, and transmission & distribution projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with telecom operators, power utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
• Monitor tenders, projects and investment plans; coordinate quotations, proposals and tender submissions with technical, commercial and supply‑chain teams.
• Conduct customer visits, technical presentations and commercial negotiations.
• Support contract execution, payment collection and customer satisfaction activities.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, project pipelines and market intelligence reports.
• Assist in developing local partners, distributors and strategic alliances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Engineering, Telecommunications, Power, Business, Marketing, Economics or International Trade.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management or project development within telecommunications, power & energy, EPC/infrastructure or ICT sectors.
• Proven network with telecom operators, power utilities, EPC contractors or government institutions.
• Fluent Portuguese and good command of English; Chinese is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Lusophone African countries.
