Receiving Associate

About the role

Rural King Farm and Home Store is seeking a Receiving Associate to manage the efficient flow of merchandise from the dock to the sales floor. The role involves unloading shipments, preparing products for display, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure shelves are stocked and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries, unpack merchandise, and transport items to appropriate store areas.
• Use handheld scanners and computer software to process purchase orders and document receipts.
• Verify product quantities, price tags, and security tags according to SOPs.
• Organize merchandise on rocket carts for distribution and restock shelves.
• Maintain daily receiving paperwork and monitor purchase order shortages.
• Assist with store-to-store transfers, UPS shipments, and high-demand inventory tasks.
• Support the management team with accurate merchandise tracking and negative on-hand inventory research.

Required profile

• Open to candidates with entry-level experience or prior retail/warehouse background.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory verification.

Required skills

• Handheld scanner operation.
• Basic computer data entry using inventory software.
