Production Supervisor

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead commissioning, start‑up and operational activities at its Angola site. The role ensures that all processes comply with HSE, quality and schedule requirements while contributing to the company’s net‑zero energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of Control Room Operators, Production Operators and the Laboratory Technician.
• Monitor and control all process equipment from the Central Control Room and field locations.
• Ensure production activities follow company and client operating procedures, safety standards and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Oversee daily plant housekeeping and preservation of process areas.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, non‑conformities and propose corrective actions to the Production Superintendent.
• Discuss technical issues, spare‑part requirements and maintenance planning with the Production Superintendent and Maintenance Department.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in natural gas processing, petrochemical or LNG operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or control‑room role.
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Must reside in Angola and hold a valid residence card (no sponsorship available).
