PR & Communications Officer

About the role

We are seeking a PR & Communications Officer to join KLEBER GROUP’s Luanda office. The role will drive public‑relations and marketing initiatives for tourism, lifestyle and business‑event clients, focusing on the Angolan market.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, broadcasters, influencers and key opinion leaders in Angola.
• Secure media coverage in travel, lifestyle, business and consumer outlets and craft press releases, interview briefs and storytelling campaigns.
• Manage press enquiries, media opportunities and reputation‑building activities.
• Monitor media performance, sentiment and coverage across local and relevant regional/international channels.
• Develop strategic communication plans, advise on market positioning, messaging and spokesperson visibility for tourism destinations, hotels, airlines and MICE events.
• Identify emerging travel, tourism and consumer trends and translate them into communication opportunities.

Required profile

• Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in public relations, media relations or communications, preferably within tourism, hospitality or events.
• Strong understanding of the Angolan media landscape and stakeholder ecosystem.
• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities, with a knack for creating compelling press materials.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international client teams.
