Portuguese QA Lead - Remote

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position is for a Portuguese Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of Portuguese AI training data. You will evaluate AI‑generated content, provide precise feedback, and ensure that all contributors meet the project’s linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Portuguese content and trainer/QA work against detailed rubrics.
• Provide written feedback in English, highlighting issues such as grammar, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to guidelines.
• Identify recurring quality problems and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, and documentation.
• Monitor contributor activity and reactivate inconsistent workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Portuguese, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Native or near‑native Portuguese proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Portuguese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related workflows.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Discord.
• Advanced use of Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• Familiarity with trackers, dashboards, and project‑management systems.
