Microsoft Dynamics GP Support Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics GP Support Consultant to provide functional support to our clients across multiple GP versions. The role is fully remote and focuses on troubleshooting, configuration, and user assistance within the core GP application.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day functional support for Microsoft Dynamics GP users.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in core GP modules such as General Ledger, AP, AR, Inventory and Purchasing.
• Gather case details, reproduce problems, and document root causes.
• Assist with client configuration, transaction processing, posting errors, reporting queries and month‑end/year‑end activities.
• Use SQL queries to investigate data, validate transactions and support issue diagnosis.
• Escalate technical or development‑related problems with clear documentation.
• Support GP upgrades, environment reviews and post‑upgrade issue resolution.
• Configure and troubleshoot GP client workstation installations, login, dictionary, ODBC and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with consultants, developers and infrastructure teams when issues span multiple areas.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics GP, including older versions still in use.
• Strong functional knowledge of core GP modules (GL, AP, AR, Inventory, Purchasing).
• Ability to troubleshoot posting, batch, transaction, setup and reporting problems.
• Excellent communication skills with end‑users, accounting teams and client stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset and solid problem‑solving abilities.
