Lingala Bilingual Expert (Remote)

About the role

This remote contract position focuses on providing high‑quality Lingala language data to train next‑generation AI models. You will work independently to transcribe, annotate, and analyze audio‑visual content, ensuring that linguistic nuances are captured accurately for machine learning purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in Lingala with precise timestamps.
• Describe speakers' emotional tone and intent.
• Analyze grammar, tone, and structure in both Lingala and English.
• Document cultural and contextual nuances of words and phrases.
• Perform complex language tasks to fine‑tune AI language models.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Commit to a minimum of 15 focused work hours per week.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Lingala and English.
• Exceptional attention to detail in linguistic analysis.
• Ability to identify and articulate emotional nuances in spoken language.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking applied to language tasks.
• Experience in transcription, translation, localization, or related linguistic roles.
• Self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
