IT Technician

About the role

Actemium Angola is seeking an IT Technician to provide first‑ and second‑line technical support for hardware, software and network issues across its oil & gas and industrial operations. The role combines IT infrastructure management with telecom system support, ensuring reliable and secure technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑line support for hardware, software and network incidents.
• Install, configure and maintain IT equipment such as workstations, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Support and maintain LAN/WAN networks, VPNs, Wi‑Fi and site servers.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access rights and device provisioning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assets, configurations and incidents.
• Apply IT security measures including updates, backups and access control.
• Troubleshoot incidents using ticketing systems and escalate when necessary.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Support telecom systems including UHF/VHF radio networks, trunked radio systems and PAGA (Public Address and General Alarm) systems.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe handling of IT and telecom equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with telecom systems (UHF/VHF, trunked radio, PAGA).
• Fluent in English and Portuguese (mandatory); French is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
