Interface Engineer (HL7 & Analyzer Integration)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Interface Engineer to design and develop machine interface modules that connect laboratory analyzers with our Laboratory Information System (LIS). You will build reliable, real‑time communication solutions that ensure accurate and secure data exchange between instruments and healthcare software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop interface modules for integrating laboratory analyzers with the LIS platform.
• Work with serial communication protocols such as RS232, ASTM, HL7, and TCP/IP for data exchange.
• Develop and maintain middleware for bi‑directional communication with laboratory devices.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and implementation teams to guarantee accurate and secure data flow.
• Troubleshoot and debug communication and logging issues between instruments and the LIS.
• Implement data validation, error handling, and analyzer configuration mapping.
• Document communication protocols and analyzer interface specifications.
• Support new analyzer onboarding and conduct integration testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with analyzer integration or middleware development.
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core (Windows Services, Console Applications, APIs).
• Serial communication (RS232) and TCP/IP socket programming.
• Instrument interfacing protocols (ASTM, HL7).
• Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, data handling).
• Multi‑threading, real‑time data processing, and log monitoring.
• Version control using Git or similar tools.
