Factory Cost Specialist

About the role

Nestlé Angola is seeking a Factory Cost Specialist to support the factory controller in costing, stock variance analysis, price maintenance and other finance activities. The role ensures accurate cost calculations and smooth month‑end closures, contributing to the overall financial health of the manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general ledger, vendor and customer reconciliations on a daily basis.
• Monitor material ledger and address open items and material usage variances.
• Conduct simulations for total cost of production (TCOP) and new SKU introductions.
• Execute monthly stock counts for raw and packing materials, fixed assets and spare parts.
• Maintain material costing in the system and provide GL and cost centre information to departments.
• Support factory period‑end closure activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist the factory controller with ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Costing, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
• Excellent mathematical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good time‑management skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
